Hotel Door

This elegant five star secret hotel is set on the banks of the River Thames, offering fantastic river views and ideally located for both the leisure and business traveller.

Facilities: Well-equipped with a contemporary restaurant, concierge, gym and fitness centre. All rooms are fantastically furbished, air conditioned, have en suite bathrooms (with a generous helping of complimentary toiletries),  telephone, cable television and mini-bar. Business travellers will benefit from the hotel conference rooms.

In the local area…

The hotel offers easy access to London’s West End, home to the majority of London’s theatres as well as offering great restaurants, bars and shopping. If you’re new to London, we highly recommend a theatre trip – the hotel will be able to assist with booking or alternatively you can visit one of the touting offices dotted around Leicester Sq., book online or visit the theatre itself.  Many of the restaurants near the theatres offer pre or after-theatre lunch/dinner deals.

Being so close to the river, why not head to the London Eye. Taking roughly one hour to complete, the Eye offers outstanding views of the City; great for the kids or for a romantic date as the sun sets. We should also mention that the London Eye is the tallest ferris wheel in Europe!

There are numerous boat tour operators in London. The Thames is a great way to see the city, with attractions such as the Houses Of Parliament, Big Ben and The Tower of London on its north bank.

Also by the river you’ll find the SeaLife London Aquarium, a great day out for the children, open all year round. The aquarium is home to over five hundred species of fish including penguins and reef sharks! Take a behind the scenes tour and see how the aquarium works or go snorkelling with the sharks if you’re brave enough! Enquiring and booking ahead is recommended.

Our top pick by the river is the Houses of Parliament – overseas visitors can enjoy tours on Saturdays and throughout the summer recess.

Enjoy your stay!
