In the Local Area

Avenida da Liberdade is Lisbon’s main boulevard where you will find all of the fancy shops (Versace, Gucci, Givenchy, Lanidor, Prada, etc), hotels and banks. The market is held every second weekend of the month and if you manage to catch it, we guarantee you will love going through all the antiques. You never know what you’re going to find!

The National Theatre D. Maria II is very close to this secret hotel. This historical theatre is the most prestigious Portuguese venue, located in the center of the city. It was built around 1450 and it served as the seat of the Inquisition in the 16th century!

Another famous attraction close to this hotel is the Church of Saint Roch, the earliest Jesuit church in Portugal. It is also one of the few buildings to survive the Great Lisbon Earthquakes of 1755.

Lisbon’s Botanical Garden covers 10 acres, but it is almost invisible from the nearby streets. The National Museum of Natural History and Science is the most important nature museum in Portugal.
