Hong Kong is an area rich in history and culture. If it’s your first visit to the city our top pick is Victoria Peak, a popular attraction complete with tram rides, galleries, restaurants and great nature walks. Also known as ‘The Peak’, the mountain offers fantastic views of Victoria Harbour and the surrounding areas; a great place to start your break!

Kowloon Public Pier is within easy reach of the hotel and offers a great viewpoint of the city. Kowloon Park is a must see, a thirty-three acre park boasting magnificently kept gardens (including mazes), a magnificent bird lake, sculptures, piazza, pool and even a sports centre.

For a shopping experience like no other visit the night market on Temple Street; a traditional Chinese market with great atmosphere, street performers and local souvenirs. The night market is packed with hundreds of vendors selling everything from clothing to electronic goods as well as some fabulous street food.

Hong Kong’s temples are some of the finest in the world, offering breath-taking architecture as well as being of huge spiritual importance to the nation. Our top pick is Lo Pan Temple, a heritage building which comprises of two halls filled with wall paintings, stone carvings and sculptures. Other must see temples are the Shing Wong and the Sheung Wan. Note that these are only three of many temples you can visit in the area.

For some history visit the Hong Kong Heritage Museum. The museum boasts six permanent exhibits including the Children’s Discovery Gallery and the Cantonese Opera Heritage Hall. Here you can view a range of artifacts from folk art to design and antiques. The museum also offers special one-off events and exhibitions throughout the year so its definitely worth checking with the hotel (or online) before visiting.

The Hong Kong Museum of Art is another feature and favourite tourist attraction with over 15,700 objects including paintings, sculptures and calligraphy from Hong Kong.
