The Yellow Duck Marine Experience is a one of a kind tour that the whole family will love.  A unique 1 hour amphibious tour around the city and docks aboard a converted World War II Ianding craft will delight everyone, especially when you splashdown into the water after seeing the historical sights of the city centre.

Wallasey Beach is an ideal location to head to for romantic musings and wanderings and to feel the wind in your hair and the sea spray on your face. It is great for swimming on warm days and kite surfing on windy ones for the more adventurous.

Woolton Village always looks lovely, especially in the summer months when this historic village is festooned in flowers. With its magic community feel that is so hard to find these days, Woolton has a couple of stunning little churches and a great farmers markets once a month.

For shopping

Hairy Records is an unashamedly old and gloriously ramshackle tribute to all things vinyl.  With a set of passionate staff and owners who quite obviously love what they do and sell.  This place feels more like someone’s personal record collection but you can buy whatever is one the shelves of course.

For eating out

The Lemon Tree Bistro serves fresh, quality food which is very reasonably priced considering the generous portions.  The tasty and well rounded flavours are modern and funky and the staff friendly and relaxing which all adds up to a great dining experience.

For nightlife

The Philharmonic Dining Rooms is a sumptuous dining experience and night out with its original wood panelling and crystal chandeliers.  This elegant boozer is the perfect spot for a drink or two and top notch meal with friends in an intimate setting with squashy leather sofas to sink into after you’ve finished.
